In den letzten Tagen gab es in der englischen Newsgroup eine Diskussion, ob Performance Unterschiede zwischen der alten und der neue JOIN Syntax festzustellen seien. Quintessenz war, daß "Inside SQL Server 2000" Recht hat, daß beide Statements identisch gehandhabt werden und daß keine Performanceunterschiede festzustellen sind. So, dies allein ist also kein Grund, alten SQL Code umzuschreiben. Ehrlich gesagt, habe ich die ganze Diskussion nicht wirklich verstanden, da das gewichtigste Argument für eine Umstellung hier http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techinfo/tips/development/July23.asp genannt wird.
